Have you ever tried reaching an awesome fitness goal and then fall flat on your face? There are a few techniques that help make sure that you reach your fitness goals and enjoy yourself at the same time.
5. Write Your Goals Down
Any goal worth reaching needs to be written down. Writing your goals out will forces your body to feel as if it has signed a contract to get into shape. Goals that are written can also be seen and will stand as reminders.
4. Tape Your Goals Everywhere
Wither you’re trying to get a six pack or just drop off a few pounds, make sure you can see that goal posted everywhere. Put in on your mirror, your door, and the refrigerator. A goal seen is a goal more likely to be kept.
3. Tell Everyone
This can sometimes be a little bit embarrassing, so be careful. A goal that is shared with family and friends is more likely to be kept. Others that know about your goal will start checking up with you about your goals. You will know that you have the support of many others to achieve your goals.
2. Track Progress
make sure that you are able to break your goal up into small victories. Large goals that will take years to achieve are often dropped, because individuals feel that they are making no progress. Make sure that you daily or weekly record the progress that you’ve made to keep yourself motivated to keep moving forward.
1. Have Fun
Make sure that if you are trying to do some great task that you enjoy the journey. Instead of hitting the gym everyday, try playing some sports or listening to a new music group while running. Make the entire experience an enjoyable one.
